Kish Island, often called the Pearl of the Persian Gulf is an interesting travel destination.

Kish Island is located in the Hormozgān Province of Iran, it’s a small island, it only has 91.5-square-kilometres but is a very popular destination for vacation, it actually is the most popular destination for vacation in Southwest Asia after Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Sharm el-Sheikh. The island is like a big resort and its amazing views and natural landscapes makes it one of the most beautiful islands in the world. It has about 26,000 residents but it gets 1 million visitors every year. The fact that is duty free makes it a very popular destination especially for shopping.

To get to Kish Island you are not required to get a visa and you are allowed to stay up to 14 days on the Island. Women shoud wear appropriate attire like long dresses and head scarves. At the arrival in the Kish International Airport, women not wearing a head scarf will be given the proper clothing free of charge but they must be returned at the end of the vacation.

The people of Kish are very friendly but they don’t speak English very well and you might find out that knowing a few Persian words will come in handy. It’s easy to get around the island, taxis are available or you can also rent a car, even a luxury car, directly at the airport.
